A "snow hole" is in rural jargon a place that always gets a lot of winter-white splendor, and Maria Alm definitely belongs to these favored places! Absolute winter fun is guaranteed at the Eder.
FROM THE HOTEL EDER, THE ENTRY TO THE PISTENWELT IS PARTICULARLY EASY.
Just a few steps behind the house is the valley station to the Aberg-Hinterthal cable car, which brings our guests right to the highest point of the region - and thus puts the Hochkönig ski region right at their feet.
LANGLAUFEN - SKI PLEASURE OF SPECIAL ART
From the top you also have the best view of how nice it is down - so you can see the Schattberg trail that runs across flat meadows to Saalfelden and is ideal for getting into cross-country skiing. Thanks to the connection to the extensive network of trails from Saalfelden but also experienced sweat quickly. Around Maria Alm there are 30 km of trails - there is something for everyone.

Whether you or your children, as a beginner in alpine skiing, first have to practice plowing or if you want to improve your style a bit further, the certified ski instructors of the ski schools in Maria Alm and Hinterthal will be happy to help and advise you ! Incidentally, in the ski school shops, the material can be reserved in advance, which prevents long waiting times when borrowing!
